Responsibilities
Research and resolve undeliverable checks, void/reissue requests, and Zelis refunds
Process advanced claim and check adjustments, ensuring every penny is accounted for within our corporate goals
Partner with Sales, Finance, and Client Services to resolve outstanding payment and retention issues
Manage the check status follow-up queue and monitor retention amounts for quarterly reporting
Document workflows and track outstanding items using Windward and Microsoft Excel to ensure no inquiry falls through the cracks
Qualification
Required
An Associate's degree OR 6+ years of experience in a financial/professional environment
Ability to quickly learn Windward (Claim Processing) and switch seamlessly between multiple systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong strategic decision-making skills and the ability to investigate claim trends to proactively solve broader issues
Professional written and verbal skills for interacting with internal leadership and business partners
Comfort working in a remote setting with a target start date of ASAP
Preferred
Previous experience in claim processing or payment retention
Prior experience in the dental industry
Experience with Zelis refunds or APU retention
