Responsibilities
Provide engineering support for F5 Virtual Appliances and the Traffic Management Operating System (TMOS)
Manage and maintain F5 load balancers, ensuring high availability and optimal performance of critical services
Design, implement, and troubleshooting complex F5 configurations for multi-tiered environments
Collaborate with network, system, and application teams to plan and deploy F5 solutions for large-scale projects
Perform performance analysis and tuning of F5 devices to optimize traffic management and application delivery
Configure and manage security policies on F5 platforms, including Web Application Firewall (WAF) and DDoS protection
Configure hardware and software settings to maximize network performance
Partner with development teams to ensure smooth application deployments
Implement high-availability solutions with automated failover techniques
Conduct root cause analysis of network/application issues and implement long-term fixes
Provide subject matter expertise across multiple projects and initiatives
Stay current with emerging F5 technologies and industry best practices
Participate in special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Active and current TS/SCI federal security clearance
Must be a US Citizen
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, OR equivalent work experience
8+ years of related professional experience
Expertise with F5 platforms, Networking, and Linux
Demonstrated experience designing, managing, and troubleshooting F5 BIG-IP environments
F5 Certified Technology Specialist (300-level or higher)
Preferred
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Excellent customer service and teamwork abilities
Experience with large-scale enterprise environments
