Responsibilities
Translate complex technical concepts into simple, accurate, and on-brand graphics and diagrams
Independently review and interpret technical documentation to inform visual design decisions
Design and produce icons, flowcharts, process diagrams, data models, system illustrations, and other technical visuals
Own visual assets from initial concept and sketching through final production, ensuring accuracy and consistency
Collaborate closely with designers and technical writers to align visuals with written content
Clearly communicate design intent and rationale to stakeholders and partners
Iterate on designs based on feedback, maintaining a high bar for quality, clarity, and usability
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, proactively communicating progress, risks, and timelines
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional experience creating graphics and diagrams, preferably within technical, product, or educational environments
Proven ability to interpret complex technical information and translate it into clear, effective visual representations
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; familiarity with Lucidchart or similar diagramming tools is a plus
Strong visual problem-solving, conceptual thinking, and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain design decisions and collaborate effectively
High standards for craft, consistency, and visual clarity
Experience creating flowcharts, process diagrams, and structured visual systems
