Plans, organizes, and manages engineering projects with advanced knowledge application, balancing cost, reliability, and performance
May supervise a team of engineers and oversee design development, permitting, and compliance for energy infrastructure
Supports detailed technical assessments, engineering design reviews, and compliance verifications for power delivery projects
Bridges the gap between conceptual engineering and field execution, ensuring best practices are applied throughout the project lifecycle
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Engineering required
11 - 15 years of experience leading engineering teams and providing oversight for major energy infrastructure projects
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Experience applying value engineering to balance reliability, cost, and performance for complex systems
Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
Experience managing 3rd party contractor teams to develop engineering designs for solar projects
Experience coordinating project stakeholders and mobilizing teams of engineers to achieve business objectives
Minimum of 5 years experience in engineering and project management
Engineering and project management experience on utility scale solar projects preferred
Engineering and project management in the following fields may also be considered: DG/commercial solar, other technologies in the power industry – wind, BESS, combined cycle, nuclear, hydrogen, substation, transmission, etc
Great communication, leadership and project management skills
Preferred
Professional Engineering (PE) certification preferred
Experience successfully managing schedules and budgets for major capital projects
Strong candidates with experience outside of the power industry (aerospace, civil/stormwater, etc)
