CNC Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on machinery to prevent failures before they occur. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems issues
Assist with the installation, relocation, leveling, and alignment of new and existing machinery. Perform calibrations to ensure machines operate to exact specifications and tolerances
Read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Monitor and maintain spare parts inventory, placing orders as needed
Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, including Lockout/Tagout, personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols, and electrical safety standards
Work closely with the production and engineering teams to prioritize repairs, improve processes, and provide technical support or training to machine operators as needed
Perform general building and grounds maintenance as required
Supporting lean manufacturing projects as needed

Required

1-5+ years of experience in CNC machine maintenance within a manufacturing or machine shop environment is typically required
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Proficiency with electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters) and experience working with 480V three-phase power, VFDs, and PLCs
Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Familiarity with various machine tool controls (Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various physical conditions (crouching, climbing, etc.)
Certifications: High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or mechatronics is a significant plus
