Applications Support Analyst - M365

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is looking for an Applications Support Analyst to provide application support for key Digital based systems within NHS Lanarkshire. The role involves maintenance of Digital systems, troubleshooting technical problems, and offering support to users of Digital services.

Responsibilities

To provide application support for key Digital based systems within NHS Lanarkshire
Assisting in the day-to-day maintenance of Digital systems, to troubleshoot technical problems and assist in providing technical reports in respect of system performance to the direct line manager of the team
Providing advice and support to the users who use a service supported by Digital
Providing a point of contact for Digital for service related matters

Required

Educated to HND level or have significant experience in a technical support role within an information technology department and/or possess employment experience in a health service systems technologist role
Demonstrates a high level of technical and communication skills in all or most of the following areas: Windows, Exchange, Microsoft Office, Unix, MS SQL Server
Planning and Organising skills
Ability to manage workload, prioritise and assist in completion of routine and project workloads
Good communication and inter-personal skills
Proven skills of empathy with staff
Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team with both technical and user colleagues
Full, valid UK/EU/EEA drivers licence

Preferred

Qualified in an IT related subject
Proven track record in the support of TCP/IP networks and MS Windows server operating systems
Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
Detailed knowledge in the management and support techniques required to maintain Microsoft products that include operating systems and SQL Server as well as the MS Office suite of applications
Knowledge of applications used within Healthcare
Knowledge or project management methods and principles
Ability to work as a team player as well as on own initiative to achieve targets set by the IT Helpdesk or IT Management
