InternThe J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. They are currently seeking a Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Intern to assist the Mining & Manufacturing Engineering department with project-related initiatives. This internship will provide meaningful work experience to college students pursuing an Engineering degree.

Responsibilities
Performs routine aspects of Engineering requiring knowledge and application of basic Engineering principles under close supervision
May use computer-assisted engineering software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
Assists with lab and pilot-scale testing and evaluation
Collects and prepares date for evaluation
May assist in the coordination of projects from conception (feasibility) through final plan preparations
Handles various administrative duties
Provides support to staff members as needed
May provide support for multiple facilities across the Mining & Manufacturing business unit
Qualification
Required
Working toward a BS in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
Strong attention to detail
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment
Able to keep up in a fast-paced work environment
Fluent in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel
Valid Driver's License required
Enrollment in an Academic Engineering program, from a nationally accredited educational facility/university
Candidate must be willing to learn process operation, and work in an industrial setting
Preferred
Junior or Senior preferred, in a discipline of Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering and will return to school at the completion of the internship
