Business Operations Consultant
The Ohio State University is seeking a Business Operations Consultant for the Government Resource Center. This role involves partnering with stakeholders to support daily business operations, manage fiscal resources, and oversee the pre-award process, ensuring compliance and efficient operations.

Responsibilities
Provide support for daily business operations at the GRC including the fiscal management of departmental resources and external sponsor funds
Serve as an organizational liaison between GRC, College of Medicine, Office of Sponsored Programs, and external sponsors
Work closely with the Finance Director and Director of Partnerships to ensure streamlined award application and pre-award processes
Provide oversight to the pre-award process including, but not limited to, budget development, task order standardization and review, contract review, award applications, and grant set-up
Collaborate with GRC Finance members to develop and implement processes to improve organizational performance
Cultivate working relationships with project teams that support efficient fiscal management of sponsor funds and overall GRC business operations
Review legal contracts and data use agreements and work with OSU staff as needed to ensure compliance with sponsor, university, and federal guidelines
Develop fiscal reports utilizing existing knowledge of grants and fiscal processes
Serve as the backup to the Finance Director for Workday support
Propose or formulate guidelines and processes that support efficient business operations and ensure alignment with the GRC mission, vision and its strategic goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required
A minimum of six years of relevant experience in grants or fiscal administration is required, four with a graduate degree
Requires successful completion of a background check
The selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen
Preferred
Organizational skills and strong attention to detail
Experience with Workday processes, fiscal reporting, budget development, grants management, review and analysis of contracts, data use agreements, subcontracts and other legal documents
Considerable knowledge of federal, state and university regulations and policies
