The Corrections RN plays a critical role in delivering quality healthcare to an incarcerated population while ensuring compliance with clinical standards, safety protocols, and facility regulations.

Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop care plans
Administer medications, treatments, and injections per provider orders
Respond to medical emergencies and triage inmate patients
Manage chronic care clinics and follow-up care
Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records
Collaborate with providers, LPNs, and correctional staff
Ensure compliance with state nursing regulations and correctional healthcare policies
Provide patient education and health counseling
Qualification
Required
Active RN license in good standing
Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
Ability to work effectively in a secure, fast-paced environment
Must pass background check, drug screening, and facility clearance
Preferred
Previous correctional, emergency, acute care, or medical-surgical experience
