Driving day-to-day process improvement activities
Managing vendors
Ensuring consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures
Participating in re-occurring site audits and reviews
Testing new security technologies
Conducting thorough security system checks
Testing access control systems
Verifying camera operations
Reviewing alarm panel statuses
Participating in operations meetings with the DC Operations team
Conducting detailed facility walkthroughs
Inspecting perimeter security
Checking equipment condition
Documenting any vulnerabilities in the security tracking system
Managing security-related tickets
Processing badge access requests
Coordinating vendor escorts
Handling security system maintenance requests
Overseeing the security guard force operations
Verifying SLA compliance
Conducting random post inspections
Reviewing metrics
Discussing process improvements
Coordinating upcoming projects
Updating security procedures
Completing required reports
Reviewing camera footage
Documenting incidents as needed
Remaining responsive to any security incidents or alarms
Maintaining constant vigilance over the facility's security posture
Maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and internal teams
Qualification
Required
Experience with access control and CCTV systems
6+ months' experience in security roles, preferably in a data center or similar environment
Additional education or training in security-related fields is a plus
Preferred
College Degree (Bachelors) or Background in one or more of: Military (Career/Military Police/Military Special Operations Forces), Law Enforcement with Arrest Authority (Police Academy Graduate), TSA Security Screening, Correctional Facility Officer
2+ years Security experience or equivalent (demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education)
1+ year Leadership experience
