Responsibilities
Set direction and oversee clinical operations across late-stage oncology, ensuring trials deliver on time, to quality, and within budget
Provide leadership for ~1,700 team members across 25 countries, including Program Management, Study Management, and Site Management & Monitoring
Drive study planning, feasibility, risk management, monitoring, and global patient recruitment—built on standardized, compliant, and continuously improving practices
Champion adoption and optimization of AstraZeneca’s digital, data, and AI strategy in clinical operations to improve speed, quality, and patient impact
Partner with Oncology R&D, BioPharma R&D Clinical Operations, and the Oncology Business Unit
Build a high-performing, future-ready organization; implement flexible outsourcing models; develop best-in-class processes and systems; and own clinical trial budgets and forecasting
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a scientific discipline
proven leadership of global clinical operations

functional leadership in resourcing and budget planning
