They are seeking an Administrative Specialist 2 for the Family Division, responsible for providing extensive administrative support and acting as a liaison between various stakeholders in the judiciary system.

Responsibilities

Provide extensive administrative support, including but not limited to, ordering supplies, facilitating and overseeing the record retention process of Family Division files, including determination of space allocation within the Vicinage and maintenance of the Destruction List
Facilitate access for new and existing staff to internal and external systems, such as eCourts, FACTS, NJKIDS, NJSPIRIT and troubleshooting any issues that may arise
Creation and maintenance of the Family Division Master Calendar, Trend Reports, Division specific forms and Family Division phone directory
Act as the liaison between the FDM and the Assignment Judge, Judges, law clerks, Trial Court Administrator, Court Executives, supervisory personnel, professional and clerical staff, as well as internal and external stakeholders
Ensure the division is incompliance with mandatory trainings
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills; must be self-directed, motivated and result oriented; flexible and open to change by adapting behavior in response to new information, situations, or unexpected obstacles to ensure division goals are met

Required

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree
Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits
An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
Applicants who are approaching their anticipated graduation date may apply. If selected, the applicant must complete their degree no later than their start date
Degrees conferred outside of the United States must be evaluated by a recognized evaluation service
Driver's License: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position
Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations
Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting
In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the 'New Jersey First Act,' all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey
