Responsibilities
Perform various inspections, quality process audits and testing to evaluate product and process performance and disposition of non-conforming material
Drive root cause investigations for warranty, in-process and incoming quality issues, corrective actions implementation, and follow-up on countermeasure robustness
Work with engineering teams to validate new product or vehicle designs, equipment, and processes
Develop quality inspections methods, criteria, instructions for quality containments and quality action notices
Analyze production data to identify potential non-conforming or at-risk material
Develop best practices and use lessons learned for future problem solving and decision making
Work with cross-functional teams to meet safety, quality, and production goals
Qualification
Required
Experience with quality and process control in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Utilize applicable standards and systems to reference product specifications and customer requirements
Highly skilled in problem solving and root cause analysis techniques
Create and manage production change approvals and/or deviations
Ability to use a range of basic test and measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, etc. to collect, interpret and report results of data analysis
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in Microsoft 365 including Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrain
Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts
Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours a day
Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, reflective vest, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
