Maritime/Subsea Project Manager
Advantage Technical is looking for a Maritime/Subsea Project Manager to manage engineering and design activities. The role involves collaborating with various departments, overseeing technical projects, and leading interdisciplinary teams in the marine industry.

Responsibilities
Apply advanced engineering, analytical, and design methods, theories, and research techniques to complex projects
Coordinate and supervise interdisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, drafters, technical writers, and technicians
Review progress and evaluate results for both individual and team contributions
Manage technical projects of moderate scope
Estimate resources to meet technical and scheduling objectives
Review and approve technical products to ensure they meet customer requirements
Demonstrate strong technical judgment, independent evaluation, and innovative problem-solving
Develop test procedures, conduct tests, evaluate test data, and complete required documentation
Engage with customer representatives to define and manage expectations
Support bid and proposal efforts by providing cost estimates, technical approaches, and schedule data
Travel domestically and internationally, including participation in shipboard operations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
Five to ten years of technical experience in engineering processes, including concept development, analysis, design, drawing, integration, and testing of complex mechanical or ocean-deployed systems
Strong technical judgment, creativity, and initiative, consistently maintaining attention to detail and a system-level perspective in your work
A minimum of two years of management experience leading multidisciplinary design teams
Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and engage with customer representatives
Proficient in current engineering software such as SolidWorks and MATLAB, as well as Microsoft Office
Able to apply advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, practices, and procedures, with an understanding of related engineering fields
Collaborate with electrical, software, and systems engineers, as well as other disciplines, to solve problems and design effective systems
Take responsibility for results, work independently, and seek assistance when needed
Ability to obtain a United States Government Department of Defense Security Clearance (active clearances preferred, but not a prerequisite)
Preferred
An advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Ocean Engineering is highly preferred
Experience in maritime or subsea engineering is highly preferred
Knowledge of US Navy underway replenishment operations is highly desired but not required
Active United States Government Department of Defense Security Clearance is preferred
