Responsibilities
Apply deep understanding of adversary TTPs and attack frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, Diamond Model) to inform cyber defense strategy
Lead threat hunting activities, identifying anomalies, malicious activity, and emerging cyber risks
Integrate multi-source threat intelligence to improve early warning and situational awareness
Develop and manage security metrics and KPIs to measure program maturity and effectiveness
Utilize threat intelligence platforms (TIPs), SIEM, EDR/XDR, and related cyber defense tools
Communicate complex technical findings to technical, operational, and executive-level stakeholders
Contribute to identifying systemic cyber risks that may impact U.S. critical infrastructure
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, OR 8+ years of cybersecurity operations experience (threat intelligence, SOC, threat hunting, detection engineering, or incident response)
Proven ability to analyze complex technical data and clearly communicate insights
Strong operational knowledge across cyber defense, threat intelligence, and threat hunting domains
Experience with tools such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, intrusion detection systems, or TIPs
U.S. citizenship required; must be eligible for a TS/SCI clearance
Preferred
Experience supporting cyber operations in complex, high‑consequence environments
Familiarity with intrusion detection, incident response processes, and SOC operations
Technical security certifications such as GCTI, CEH, CCNA, or similar
