Identifies and coordinates all aspects of financial obligations for private pay patients
Makes financial arrangements and secures payment for services rendered
Protects reimbursement for services by assisting patients with payment plans and options
Interviews patients and/or families to determine funding sources
Applies financial and collection policies
Assures that customer needs and/or complaints related to hospital care or financial services are responded to and documented in a timely and professional manner

Required

Associate's Degree --or--
Additional experience may be substituted for no degree
3 years of experience in patient financial services or medical billing in a hospital business office or five years of experience without degree
