Sales Director
CareersInFood.com is seeking a Sales Director to manage the direct sales team and support operations to drive revenue growth. The role involves implementing sales strategies, conducting goal setting, and monitoring performance, while also developing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
Manage direct reports KPI settings, 1:1 meetings, performance evaluations, performance management, and any other Management related items
Bi-monthly in-person meetings with direct report team members
Work closely with ingredient sourcing, raw material and purchasing team and meet monthly
Visit all customers at least 1 time per year, travel and meet with other sales team customers as necessary
Increase revenues of existing key customers accounts by maintaining close relationships and communication to understand their needs – both technical and commercial
Serve as an expert on assigned customers and develops strategic customer plans that align with company goals and objectives
Identify and develop new customer accounts through networking and direct contacts
Coordinate with company sales support to ensure availability and timely delivery of technical support services as well as product training
Manage the entire selling process – regular customer visits, sharing product information, quotations, order processing, post-delivery follow up
Stay up to date with the bakery and ingredient markets, including competitor activities, new market trends, new products, ingredients etc. and regularly report such market activities in the company
Calculate margins, negotiate terms, prepare estimates and bids to meet specific customer needs
Prepare annual budget based on customer sales forecasts
Represent the company in the local exhibitions, conferences, and seminars
Participate in monthly sales meeting
Manage sales forecasts and budgets to achieve established goals and deliver profitable growth for assigned accounts
Provide leadership and tactical direction to internal company departments to achieve outlined performance objectives

Required

Conducts long-term and short-term goal setting for teams and individuals and uses data to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance
Monitors the industry, business environment, competitors, and customers to develop action plans for expanding and retaining the customer base
Use customer feedback and insights to collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and suggest new products
