Responsibilities
Process and analyze GIS data collected from field surveys
Create, update, and maintain digital maps using GIS software
Create online map products for field use and/or desktop use
Collaborate with team members to support various GIS-related tasks
Conduct research and gather spatial data from internal and external sources
Potential opportunities to participate in field work
Other duties as assigned to help develop additional technical skills
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated experience using Esri software, specifically ArcPro
Experience with or working knowledge of ArcGIS Online and its suite of mobile and desktop applications: Field Maps, Survey123, Experience Builder, Dashboards, etc
Understanding of basic cartographic concepts, such as scale, projections, spatial relationships, and symbolization
Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program concentrating on GIS, Life Science, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or related field with demonstrated GIS coursework
Within approximately 1-2 years of graduation
Ability to travel to and work out of a Stantec office, with some potential flexibility for remote work
