InternFuturewei Technologies, Inc. is seeking multiple AI and Visual Computing Research Interns. The role involves conducting research in areas such as spatial computing, computer vision, and AI/ML modeling, with a focus on independent research suitable for academic publication.

Responsibilities
Conduct Research in one of the areas of spatial computing, distributed architect, computer vision, graphic rendering, avatar animation, AI/ML modeling, and other technical areas related to XR and Metaverse
A specific research topic will be identified in the above area, and aimed for independent research work that is suitable for academic publication of IEEE journals or/and conferences
Work closely with other team members, jointly prototype, implement and evaluate algorithms; and optimize application or algorithm performance through analysis, code refactoring, and system tuning
Some industrial and academic collaboration, and professional community involvement
Qualification
Required
Working towards MS & PhD in Computer Science, EE, or related fields
Proven experience in academic research and publication
Strong knowledge in software development in related fields with hands-on experiences
Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: C/C++, Python
Proficient in AI/ML, ideally familiar with some LLMs and image models such as SAM
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills and teamwork abilities
Eagerness to learn new technologies
Preferred
Knowledge and hands-on experience in computer vision, ARVR system, computer graphic, or machine learning algorithms is a strong plus
Experience in using common ML models are desired, particularly with LLMs, digital human models SMPL, HaMer, and other image and video models
