The Director of Purchasing & Supply Planning will own purchasing and supply planning end-to-end, impacting inventory availability, service levels, and customer satisfaction in a complex import environment.

Responsibilities
End-to-end purchasing and supply planning for a large, long-tail SKU portfolio
Inventory availability, service levels, and freshness across imported products
Purchase order execution, timing, sizing, and supplier coordination
Forecast-to-PO conversion considering long transit times and MOQs
Ocean freight coordination, container optimization, and inbound flow
Leadership and development of a growing purchasing team
KPI ownership: fill rate, inventory turns, aging, spoilage risk, freight cost
Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Operations, Quality, and Logistics
Qualification
Required
7+ years in purchasing, supply planning, or supply chain leadership
Experience with imported products and long lead times
Strong understanding of inventory planning and service-level management
Hands-on leadership style with a bias for execution
Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience strongly preferred
Comfortable operating in a growth-oriented, operational environment
