Responsibilities
Participate fully in project teams and contribute to activities such as product design and development, material testing, specification preparation, process capability studies, report writing, and process/test documentation
Independently plan and schedule work to meet project timelines
Design and coordinate standard engineering tests and experiments
Design, procure, and fabricate tooling and fixtures
Troubleshoot new product and process issues related to design, materials, or manufacturing processes
Analyze test results, summarize findings, and draw technical conclusions
Prepare standard reports and documentation for communication within the technical community
Maintain responsibility for engineering documentation
Generate concepts and designs for new products or processes and submit idea disclosures
Provide training or work direction to technicians as needed
Collaborate with process development, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing teams to ensure project success
Demonstrate PDP/TPD system knowledge through delivery of high-quality engineering deliverables
Build quality into all aspects of work by maintaining full compliance with all applicable quality requirements
Qualification
Required
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field: 2–4 years of experience
MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field: 0–2 years of experience
Experience in the medical device industry
Experience supporting a manufacturing line
Experience with design changes
Experience with CAPA processes
