Postdoctoral Researcher - Biomedical Engineering

The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in Biomedical Engineering to work in the laboratory of Dr. Jim Hokanson. Responsibilities

Develop novel diagnostic and therapeutic approaches related to lower urinary tract dysfunction
Assess functionality of these diagnostics and therapeutics in animal models as well as in humans (through collaborations with clinicians)
Analyze data; write manuscripts; develop posters and presentations; write grants
Participate in meetings with principle investigator and research staff in which you will discuss your project and other projects within the laboratory group
Other duties as assigned

Required

Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering, bioengineering, or a related scientific field
0 years of prior postdoc experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Laboratory techniques related to data acquisition setup, animal models, and electrical stimulation
Ability to work both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Mentorship skills for junior scientists and students

Preferred

Experience with neuromodulation
Experience with lower urinary tract physiology
Experience with neuroscience
Experience with animal models
Experience with experimental data analysis
