Title Continuous Improvement TPM Manager/Engineer

Responsibilities

This position will assist the plant leadership in the expanding the implementation of Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) principles and Lean-Six Sigma capability tools
Hands-on approach for evaluating existing processes and identifying opportunities for quality or efficiency improvement, as well as cost-savings measures
Drive a culture of Lean and other continuous improvement methodologies across teams towards world class standards. Initiate the continuous TPM Site Phase progression within all TPM Pillars at the sites this role supports
Execute zero loss analysis and results across lines, track results
Understanding and experience with PowerBi Analytics
Knowledge in TEEP & OEE reports to understand capacity constraints and help reduce losses
Lead and facilitate continuous improvement team with activities/initiatives including development of and proficiency of Plant TPM standards and capability builds
Initiate ROCS projects (Plant cost saving projects) with a goal of 2x base salary. Identify and implement ROCS projects initiated by Value Stream Mapping events
Monitor plants’ ongoing adherence to TPM processes, results against targets, respond to any shortfalls through training, coaching escalation, etc. as appropriate
Be a trusted and respected resource for Plant Associates by training and coaching plant associates in TPM processes and systems. Provide training, coaching, and mentorship on continuous improvement tools and methodologies. (5S, TPM, Kaizen, etc.)
Provide planning, facilitation, and governance of CI projects and initiatives- daily, weekly and 90-day plan to eliminate loss and defects
Work with the team to establish KPIs, track progress toward improvement goals, and work with team on projects and initiatives to improve metrics
Prepare and present reports on project outcomes, cost savings, and operational efficiency improvements to senior leadership

Required

Education- bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field (associates degree with related certifications also considered)
3-5 years progressive technical experience in engineering, process improvement, or related role in a manufacturing environment (food processing preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data with a demonstrated ability to use data for creative problem solving
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for influencing and motivating others
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
Advanced computer literacy skills. Proficient in (Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Organizational change leadership/ ADKAR expertise, project management and governance skills to ensure follow-through on Total Productive Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
Able to navigate RPC Information Systems and to leverage systems information to obtain in-depth knowledge about RPC sources of loss and maintenance costs (i.e. BI, SAP, MLO, SightBase, Wonderware, source of Yield data, planned downtime and unplanned downtime etc.)
Coaching, Facilitation and Teambuilding Skills - Models the continuous improvement vision, inspires others to act, builds confidence, seeks feedback, addresses issues and recognizes effort
Communication & Presentation Skills - Communicates effectively (verbal and written); active listening and understanding of issues; Ability to present in front of others with confidence

Preferred

Certifications: TPM (JIPM) certification, Lean Six Sigman (Green Belt/Black Belt) highly preferred
