Social Media Director
Royal Ink is a dynamic agency seeking a Social Media Director to lead and scale their social media department. The role involves managing multiple brands, creating strategic content, and optimizing performance while mentoring team members and improving workflows.
Responsibilities
Owning and leading Royal Ink’s social media department
Helping structure, streamline, and improve social media workflows, processes, and standards
Mentoring and guiding social media team members, setting expectations and elevating output
Creating scalable systems for content planning, execution, approvals, and reporting
Partnering with leadership to grow the department and improve efficiency, quality, and results
Managing multiple client accounts across various social media platforms
Creating and executing strategic content calendars (static, reels, stories, video)
Writing captions that sound human, on-brand, and convert
Collaborating closely with graphic designers and creative team members
Editing short-form video content for social media (Reels, TikToks, Stories, platform-specific cuts)
Shooting photo and video content on-site at client locations
Engaging with audiences through comments and DMs with professionalism and personality
Communicating directly with clients regarding content, timelines, approvals, and updates
Tracking performance, pulling insights, and reporting on social media metrics
Using data to optimize content, improve strategy, and guide creative decisions
Staying ahead of trends, platform updates, and what’s actually working •right now•
Ensuring all social content aligns with brand voice, goals, and best practices
Keeping projects organized, on time, and executed at a high standard
Managing priorities across multiple clients without sacrificing quality
Acting as the point person for social media strategy, execution, and growth
Qualification
Required
4+ years of social media management experience (agency experience strongly preferred)
Successfully managed multiple client accounts in a fast-paced environment
Bring high energy, a positive mindset, and strong leadership presence into every room
Hungry for growth, want to level up, build something meaningful, and help scale a department
Thrive in a collaborative, close-knit, hands-on studio environment and values strong team chemistry
Deep understanding of social media strategy, performance metrics, and platform best practices
Strong in short-form video editing for content (Reels, TikTok, Stories, etc.)
Comfortable shooting and editing on-site content into polished, platform-ready videos
Edit with intention—strong hooks, pacing, captions, transitions, and trend awareness
Strong written communication skills with a sharp eye for brand voice and detail
Organized, self-motivated, and confident managing timelines and priorities
Comfortable communicating directly with clients and collaborating cross-functionally
Preferred
Experience with paid social or performance-based content
Familiarity with agency workflows, approvals, and deadlines
