Responsibilities
Schedules patient visits
Develops staffing schedules, triage and on-call schedules
Interacts with patients, their representatives, physicians, physician office staff, departmental staff, to gather and ensure accuracy of demographic, billing and clinical information
Develops and distributes required forms, documents and reports with accurate patient information
Enters all data related to scheduling needs
Maintains exemplary level of customer service
Reviews new and previously recorded information with patient, physician and others to ensure accurate collection and analysis of information
Communicates instructions and arrival times to patient for each visits
Accepts and Directs patients calls to appropriate staff or charge nurse
Communicates schedule changes to appropriate staff and or patients
Works with charge nurses and managers to maintain schedules
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience in a customer service role
Preferred
Bachelor's degree
Previous experience with an electronic medical records system
