Responsibilities

Proficiency with precision measurement instruments including calipers, micrometers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for dimensional inspection

Hands-on experience with electrical assembly techniques including soldering, wire crimping, cable routing, connector assembly and wire management

Familiarity with current sensing methods including shunt resistors and 4-wire measurement techniques, or strong foundation in electrical measurement principles

Working knowledge of temperature measurement technologies including thermocouples, RTDs (Resistance Temperature Detectors), and thermal imaging cameras

Skilled in capturing clear, detailed photographs of experimental setups for documentation, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer

Able to lift and transport lab equipment or computers (up to 20 lbs) between labs and work areas

Able to assemble motherboard prototype platforms into notebook and desktop chassis as required

Capable of setting up and performing measurements on DAQs (Data Acquisition Systems)

Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Word) for reporting and data analysis

Able to support miscellaneous lab tasks including inventory control of silicon, hardware, and components; material disposal processes; lab logistics; equipment labeling; materials/chemical handling; lab housekeeping; wire management

Experience with LabVIEW programming for data acquisition and instrumentation control

Experience with rapid prototyping methods including 3D printing and laser cutting

Capable of operating an IR camera and capturing photographs of thermal hot spots

Able to run computer benchmarks such as Prime95, Cinebench, Geekbench, and various AI workloads

Able to perform mechanical modifications and equipment teardowns for data comparison and analysis

Experience with smoke machines, and torque meters is a plus

Basic understanding of acoustics concepts and the ability to perform acoustic measurements

Familiarity with Bios & Windows installation

Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently

Clarity in written and verbal communication

Solid foundational understanding of personal computer hardware, including CPUs, GPUs, motherboards, RAM, storage devices, and peripherals; advanced knowledge is a plus

Familiarity with major operating systems such as Windows, macOS, Linux, and Chrome OS

Basic understanding of networking concepts and the ability to configure TCP/IP, Wi Fi, and Ethernet connections

Ability to install and configure software applications, device drivers, and firmware

Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving PC and lab related hardware and software issues

Willingness and ability to learn and execute testing procedures, benchmarking workflows, and performance analysis techniques

Adherence to required safety and confidentiality related norms
