Defines critical performance requirements that link to system design requirements across interacting functions
Leads the development of systems integration test methods/ processes and troubleshooting instrument and assay/reagent interaction issues to determine root cause and solutions
Develops and executes system related (i.e., hardware, software, assay, etc.) verification & validation (V&V) and/or characterization protocols and/or simulations and develops/interprets complex written data package summaries in accordance with governing procedures
Develop plans for integration, standards, performance, and reliability testing
Leads team members in application and analysis of multiple optimization process techniques
Set targets, ranges and specs – Design of experiments (DOE), Guard band, System Error Budget Analysis, Capability (CPk), test method development, determine functionality and system compatibility of multiple system components and troubleshoots of parts and subsystems
Reviews and develops FMEA, hazards, modes of control for risk management
Leads complex investigations involving interacting system level issues
Collaborates with technical organization to develop and refine system solutions through the concept, feasibility, development, and qualification phases of the product development process
Manages systems related analysis to assess performance against design specification, and assessment of system interactions
Leads technical review of complex system integration, verification, and characterization studies
Guides application of sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving system level technical issues
Promotes collaboration with various systems, assay, engineering, and instrument support departments/disciplines (e.g., systems integration, quality engineering, assay and instrument design, on-market support, software, technology) through knowledge of the interaction between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact processes (e.g., Assay Development, Operations, Business, Quality, Regulatory, Quality Engineering)
Oversees the establishment, execution, and development of tools and practices that link to system design across interacting functions (i.e. – hardware, software, and/or assay, etc.)
Leads various analyses and cross functional collaboration to optimize total system performance for functionality, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
