Engineering-Process - Intern

The Engineering-Process Intern will assist the Engineering department in maintaining the traveler system and may be assigned projects to support reverse engineering activities.

Responsibilities

Assists in creation and improvement of manufacturing processes utilizing engineering input, engineering drawings, process mapping, and machine capabilities
Assists in development and refinement of work instructions, work scopes and Travelers
Works under the direction and supervision from a mentor or other engineering team members to perform reverse engineering tasks related to the development of new repairs, products, technical procedures and/or processes
Assists in the creation and improvement of manufacturing processes utilizing engineering judgement, drawings, process mapping, and machine capabilities
Collects data and maintains metrics using Microsoft Office suite
Maintains safe and orderly work areas, understands and is compliant with organization’s policies and procedures
Works safely following all health, safety and environmental rules and policies
Demonstrates high ethical standards and integrity as set forth in our Code of Business Conduct and our Principles of Business Conduct, Policies and Procedures
Effectively participates in a team environment that promotes the company’s goals and objectives
Read, write, speak, and effectively communicate in English
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions delivered in written, oral, or diagram form

Required

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Materials, Industrial Engineering or another related Engineering degree required
Strong computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
Read, write, speak, and effectively communicate in English
Assists in creation and improvement of manufacturing processes utilizing engineering input, engineering drawings, process mapping, and machine capabilities
Assists in development and refinement of work instructions, work scopes and Travelers

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a typical office environment. The employee may also occasionally be exposed to moderate cold and moderate heat. Exposure to the production facility includes loud noise, fumes, and moving equipment
Due to government regulation only US persons (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status) may be considered for this role
