StopWaste Energy Council Program Manager I

Responsibilities
Supporting successful program implementation by coordinating with consultants, working with county partners, and managing contracts
Assisting with in-person events, such as real estate trainings, HES Assessor bootcamps, and renter engagement workshops, and representing BayREN at conferences and other public convenings
Assisting with development and implementation of pilot programs, expansion of program activities, and other innovative efforts to increase participation and help meet program and local/state climate goals
Managing data requests and assisting with regulatory filings and reporting of programs metrics
Conducting outreach for Green Labeling and HES California (in-person and virtual) to a variety of audiences including but not limited to local governments, homeowners, community organizations, potential workforce partners, and real estate and construction industry stakeholders
Supporting BAMBE program operations, including reviewing and tracking projects, processing rebate checks, updating internal documents and resources, and leading research and evaluation tasks
The position will also provide support for additional BayREN programs within Alameda County
Qualification
Required
Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in architecture, urban planning, environmental science, public policy, engineering, construction, or a closely related field
A minimum of two (2) years of increasingly responsible professional experience in green building, energy efficiency, public policy, climate planning, housing development, program management, or a related area
Ability to perform work in a self-directed, timely manner while implementing solutions collaboratively
General understanding of public agencies and housing, climate, and/or energy policy in California
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to organize and interpret data, generate insights, and anticipate challenges and opportunities
Experience in managing or participating in diverse coalitions and developing strategic partnerships
Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Good written and oral communication skills
Highly organized and able to prioritize/deprioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment
Preferred
Knowledgeable about the ways in which energy issues intersect with equity, health, and housing
Previous government or program management experience
Technical knowledge of energy efficiency, electrification, and building systems
Proficient in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, ArcGIS, or Salesforce
Must have a valid California driver's license and provide proof of automobile insurance if using personal transportation for work related activities
