Transformer Winder
Aerotek is a company that connects workers with employers across various industries. They are seeking a Transformer Winder to operate winding machines and produce coils for various applications, ensuring quality and adherence to manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities
Work from verbal and written instructions including engineering drawings, specifications, design prints, and manufacturing standards
Pull required inventory and materials from the warehouse as required by work order/job number
Setup winding machine with required mandrel
Setup wire rack with required winding conductors
Cut and stage materials per work order/job number including paper insulation, ducts, taps, lead buss, etc
Wind both rectangular and circular shaped coils
Wind construction types; barrel, single and multi-conductor disc, and helix
Wind with various conductor types; rectangular, strip, foil, round, and multiple continuous transposed conductors
Perform brazing/welding on leads, tap, and connection points for both aluminum and copper
Perform conductor bending for leads, cross backs, and transpose
Perform taping/wrapping of leads, insulation, and ducts
Use of tension device to properly tension winding conductors
Recognize conductor and winding defects and report findings to supervisor
Provide aid to supervisor and other employees
Repair coils at various stages during manufacturing and in certain field situations
Perform quality control on coils to verify manufacturing standards and engineering requirements are met
Be cross-trained in other manufacturing processes and have the flexibility to work in other departments
Adhere to safety guidelines and provide a safe work environment for others
Qualification
Required
Operate a winding machine to produce coils on various sizes and construction types for applications including mining, commercial, industrial, and utility
Work from verbal and written instructions including engineering drawings, specifications, design prints, and manufacturing standards

Setup winding machine with required mandrel
