Responsibilities
Architect, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere 8.x clusters and VCF 9 environments
Perform lifecycle management, patching, and upgrades for ESXi hosts, vCenter, and VCF components
Configure and optimize Aria Operations for performance and resiliency
Configure and optimize Zerto for performance and resiliency
Implement disaster recovery strategies using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM)
Automate provisioning and configuration tasks using PowerCLI, PowerShell, vRealize Automation, etc
Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and compliance
Collaborate with network, storage, and security teams for integrated solutions
Document designs, processes, and operational procedures
On-call and off-hours work, as required
Qualification
Required
6 years of experience in server engineering and virtualization
Expert-level knowledge of VMware vSphere 8.x and VCF 9 architecture
Hands-on experience with Aria Operations
Strong scripting skills (PowerCLI, PowerShell, or similar)
Familiarity with enterprise storage, networking, and security best practices
A strong understanding of DNS & DHCP
A good understanding of general networking. IP, subnet mask, gateway, firewall, load balancer, etc
A good understanding of how storage works with a VMware environment. LUNs, WWN, SAN, HBAs, storage policies, etc
Preferred
Experience with hybrid cloud integrations (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Strong problem-solving and performance tuning skills
