Staff Software Technician (Onsite - Puerto Rico)

Responsibilities

Interpret engineering SW designs and utilize appropriate software, tools and diagnostic utilities to verify software for sequence, functionality, and standards compliance
Document and recognize how software is related to program software and systems. Maintain and organize software licensing and project files
Evaluate, generate, and implement problem-solving solutions, for both programming and administrative tasks
Create documented procedures, develop realistic work plans, set goals, coordinate with team, and execute plans within a timely manner
Troubleshoot and problem solve core service and support challenges while applying best practices for documentation, change management, and scripting. Support basic IT infrastructure and networking
Comply with and apply Lab safety policies

Required

Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred

Adapt existing code bases in a variety of programming languages
Experience with integrated systems
Understanding of logic structures and syntax
General knowledge of software and systems, communication, organization, adaptability
Familiarity with compilation operations; Linux, Windows, and automated build environments
Experience with Git, Subversion, and JIRA is preferred
