Responsibilities
Serve as a project owning engineer, responsible for MEP system design from concept through construction
Design and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for residential (multifamily) and commercial projects
Act as (or grow into) the stamping engineer across all three MEP disciplines
Work directly with clients, architects, and contractors
Perform site visits, review drawings, and ensure code compliant designs
Manage multiple projects concurrently in a lean, fast-moving environment
Continue cross-training into disciplines outside your primary background with firm-supported resources and mentorship
Qualification
Required
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5+ years of building systems design experience
Strong depth in Mechanical or Electrical, with working knowledge of the other
Experience designing mechanical, electrical or plumbing systems for residential and/or commercial buildings
Comfortable taking ownership and interfacing directly with clients
Preferred
Background in a small or mid-sized engineering firm
Mechanical engineers with electrical exposure (or vice versa)
Willingness to learn and stamp plumbing systems over time
AutoCAD proficiency (Revit exposure a plus)
Desire for long-term growth, not a narrow technical silo
