Human Resources Intern
Thaddeus Resource Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering girls and women through various supportive services. The Human Resources Intern will assist in recruitment and onboarding processes, track intern and volunteer progress, and engage in training and presentations to enhance their HR skills.

Responsibilities
Recruit interns and volunteers to support Thaddeus operations and counseling and support services to Thaddeus clients, including Accounting, Development, Marketing, Human Resources, Operations, Programs, Technology, and Volunteer Services to include updating job descriptions, posting positions on multiple job boards, reviewing applicants, setting up and conducting interviews, and presenting prospective candidates to the HR department for final selection (required)
Track and document the recruitment process, and follow up with offer letters and all necessary onboarding activities (required)
Assist with regularly scheduled Orientations for new interns and volunteers on selected Mondays as requested (required)
Oversee intern and volunteers; offer support to new interns as assigned; provide letters of recommendation as needed (required)
Assist with separation activities as needed (required)
Participate in all required HR meetings (3 hours per week are mandatory, including a 1-hour staff meeting Tuesday mornings) and lead meetings on a rotating basis as assigned (required)
Answer and respond to phone and email inquiries (required)
Organize and maintain files related to applicants, interns/volunteers, meetings, training, et al. (required)
Ensure that automated notices to interns and volunteers are scheduled and delivered as required (required)
Help other interns with questions regarding access to and use of Thaddeus systems (required)
Respond to third party requests for verification of the intern appointment
As directed, research areas of interest related to HR, develop presentations for peers, create and deliver training, and offer suggestions for improvements to Thaddeus processes (required)
Create blog posts for Thaddeus website to expand viewers’ knowledge and interest in programs and opportunities to engage with the organization (required)
Participate in required and optional training opportunities, as available, including meeting with an assigned HR Mentor

Qualification
Required
Active enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or I/O Psychology (Junior or Senior level) OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated confidentiality, dependability, and enthusiasm
Ability and desire to learn new skills quickly
Ability to analyze and understand disparate pieces of information from a variety of sources
Excellent time management
Demonstrated experience in working successfully with teams
Ability to work independently with little instruction and a strong attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Access to appropriate technology, internet connection and ability to function in a virtual capacity via Microsoft Teams
Preferred
Previous administrative and/or HR experience
Experience working with data and spreadsheets
Prior knowledge of photo/video editing and presentation software
