Responsibilities

Work on technology development projects, which may include drones, virtual production, video game design, 3d printing, building robots, or something else!
Develop prototypes and small-scale mockups to test technical feasibility and support creative assessment of functionality
Work on projects that impact our international and domestic offerings, which include stage productions, nighttime spectaculars, puppetry, interactive characters and worlds, etc
Assist with technical research and documentation development
Track and review incoming and outgoing communication and deliverables
Partner with cross-functional teams, including creative, production, designers, consultants, and vendors

Required

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class at the time of application posting, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Possess a valid US driver's license and have the ability to operate a company vehicle
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work
Must be fully available for the duration of the internship
Must provide own housing

Preferred

Passion for technology and live entertainment
Fabrication skills, technical production, or design experience
Experience working with real-time interactive digital worlds, such as Unreal Engine, TouchDesigner, and Unity
Experience creating and delivering compelling presentations, distilling technical details into simple written and visual communication
Familiarity with entertainment programming software (such as MA 3D, Navigator, Hippotizer, Qaysi)
Experience working with digital illustration tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp, Maya, Rhino, and 3ds Max
Thorough, organized, and detail-oriented
Able to handle multiple tasks and priorities
Work collaboratively and independently
Strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated proficiency with Excel, Adobe, and PowerPoint or Keynote
Demonstrated proficiency in modeling software, including CADD (Revit and/or AutoCAD)
Experience in an entertainment or theatrical technical environment
