The role involves hands-on fieldwork related to drilling and environmental solutions, requiring effective communication and the ability to handle various responsibilities in outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities
Utilize effective written and oral communication
Perform staff-level scientist/engineer duties including soil and groundwater sampling, well design and construction, and lithology descriptions using USGS or USDA methodology
Operate drilling equipment for environmental and geotechnical investigations
Work outdoors in various weather conditions (Approx 90%)
Travel to WILEY job sites (Approx 75%)
Always be safety conscious
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science/Engineering, Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, or related degree from an ABET accredited College or University
Valid Driver's License and insurability under company policy required
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Must successfully complete and pass a DOT drug and alcohol test prior to employment
Must be able to obtain a Class B CDL with Airbrake Endorsement within the first 6 months of employment
Must be willing to learn to operate drilling equipment using direct push and rotary tooling
Preferred
Experience in environmental consulting or civil/geotechnical fieldwork
OSHA HAZWOPER Certification
CPR/First Aid Training
Class B CDL
Experience operating heavy machinery
Welding skills
