Responsibilities
Lead gravity and lateral system selection, layout, and detailed analysis and design, contributing to workflow planning and project delivery
Work with the Engineer of Record (EOR) to establish codes, loads, analysis methods, and tools; seismic analysis experience is a plus
Apply experience with steel and reinforced concrete while broadening skills with timber, masonry, aluminum, and stainless steel
Develop creative design solutions, evaluate alternatives, and prepare/review calculations, drawings, reports, and BIM models (Revit)
Perform inspections and condition assessments of existing structures, across all shifts as needed, and document findings
Support construction administration through site observation reports and coordination with project managers
Perform QA/QC reviews and progressively increase responsibility toward leading as an EOR
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required)
5+ years of recent, full-time structural design and engineering experience
Familiarity with IBC-style codes and U.S. national standards
Engineer Intern (EI) required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain
Strong problem-solving skills with critical thinking, initiative, and clear communication
Preferred
Master's degree with a structural emphasis
Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, RISA3D preferred)
Knowledge of BIM tools (Revit preferred)
