Responsibilities
Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, payment application, and collections
Lead collection efforts on past-due accounts while maintaining strong customer relationships
Communicate with clients via phone and email regarding billing and payment issues
Research and resolve discrepancies, short pays, and disputed invoices
Reconcile customer accounts and ensure accurate aging reports
Collaborate closely with internal teams (sales, operations, and accounting) to resolve billing concerns
Prepare AR reports, collection status updates, and aging summaries for management
Assist with month-end close activities related to AR
Ensure compliance with company policies and standard accounting practices
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable and Collections, preferably within a service-based environment
Strong understanding of AR processes, collections strategies, and dispute resolution
Experience working with ERP or accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar)
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the AR function
Preferred
Experience handling high-volume or complex AR portfolios
Prior experience in a senior or lead AR role
Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables a plus)
