Responsibilities
Support Project Managers in team supervision and execution of complex structural engineering projects
Apply fundamental engineering knowledge and practical experience to design structures for private and public clients
Conduct structural analysis and perform independent design checks
Prepare comprehensive plans, specifications, and cost estimates (PS&E)
Develop structural detailing and construction documentation
Provide design support during construction phases
Participate in planning studies and feasibility assessments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
1-5 years of structural engineering experience
Knowledge of public works agencies and project delivery processes
Proficiency with industry standards and codes including Metro MRDC, AASHTO, Caltrans Manuals, AISC, ACI, IBC, ASCE, and local building codes
Skilled in SAP2000 structural analysis software
Proficiency with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools
Preferred
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) License in California
Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) License
