Volunteer Management and Family Readiness Programs Manager

Responsibilities
Providing technical advice, support, and recommendations to Workforce and Family Services Service Center (WFSC), Regional Practices (RP) staffs, other field units, Coast Guard command cadre personnel, other program managers, Area subject matter experts, and volunteer coordinators
Developing requirements for, advising, and presenting standardized training required for work life program staff, unit family readiness representatives, and volunteers
Responding to written and verbal inquiries from Members of Congress, Department of Defense officials, other Government agencies, officials of professional organizations, and family members related to volunteer management and family readiness issues
Developing requirements for standardized training for volunteer management and family readiness programs
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service
A one-year probationary period may be required

All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector
Transcripts must be submitted with your application package
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet Federal qualification requirements if you can show that your foreign education is comparable to education received in accredited educational institutions in the U.S
You must submit an official course description from the college/university that reflects the content at the time the course was taken
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
