Responsibilities

Generate and present creative ideas for new accounts and products, considering customer needs and production feasibility
Collaborate with Sales Representatives to present new designs and products to clients and prospects
Proactively review existing accounts and recommend updates for style, board weight, and other developments
Stay informed about industry changes and research new equipment innovations to enhance company operations
Manage workload priorities and ensure all deadlines are met
Uphold and promote all company policies and procedures, including safety standards and maintaining a tidy workspace
Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Required

College degree or significant coursework in drafting, design, or engineering
Minimum of five years of experience in graphics, drafting, or a related field
Proven ability to communicate effectively with both customers and sales staff
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
Proficiency in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Strong presentation skills for various audiences including management, clients, and the public
Aptitude for working with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometry
Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical scenarios
Skilled in problem definition, data collection, fact establishment, and drawing sound conclusions
Capable of interpreting complex technical instructions and managing abstract and concrete variables
Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities for efficient operation
Understanding of cost implications to make daily decisions that reduce overall costs and identify areas for improvement
Experience with budget development, adherence, and analysis
Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., wage and hour, environmental, OSHA, EEO)
Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple issues concurrently and lead effective meetings
Strong teaching skills to effectively convey technical aspects of the position
An excellent crisis management ability, demonstrating composure under adverse conditions and guiding personnel to successful resolutions
Superior employee relations skills, including active listening, providing both positive and corrective feedback, conflict resolution (direct or third-party), and positive motivational skills (coaching, delegation)
Demonstrated confidence, exhibiting a consistent leadership style with appropriate professional assertiveness
A professional appearance befitting a company representative

Preferred

Demonstrated supervisory experience
Experience in a production or manufacturing facility, particularly within the corrugated industry
Formal training or education in art
