Responsibilities
Own end-to-end program execution for hardware development, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, quality, and risk
Partner with Product Design, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Reliability, and Operations teams to drive engineering deliverables
Coordinate engineering outputs including specifications, validation plans, DOEs, and build matrices
Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) with design engineers, including tooling readiness and production feasibility
Manage hardware component delivery for development builds and qualification toward mass production
Create and maintain detailed development, build, and qualification schedules
Track top program risks, dependencies, and issues; proactively surface and mitigate blockers
Communicate clear program status updates to leadership and cross-functional partners
Work closely with APAC vendors, including regular coordination across time zones
Qualification
Required
Strong experience working with mechanical product design teams
Hands-on knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM)
Experience with injection molding, over-molding, and tooling
Familiarity with build matrices and hardware development cycles
Experience working with engineering drawings, layouts, and schematics
Direct experience managing vendors in the Asia-Pacific region
Background in consumer electronics hardware development
Preferred
Experience with large contract manufacturers (e.g., Foxconn)
Prior experience at large tech companies or previous company experience
Exposure to emerging hardware products (e.g., wearables / smart glasses)
