Mechanical Component Failure Analyst
The Boeing Company is hiring an Experienced Mechanical Component Failure Analyst to join their Equipment Quality team in Seattle, WA. The role involves performing failure analyses of airplane components, leading analysis teams, and preparing technical reports for customers.

Responsibilities
Perform failure analyses of airplane hydraulic and/or mechanical components to determine the cause of failure
Emphasis on bench testing skills, component disassembly, technical evaluation, precision measurement, analytical reasoning and report writing
Maintain a working knowledge of airplane components, related systems and supporting technical documentation
Develop test methods to replicate failure modes
Lead analysis teams comprised of Suppliers, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, airline representatives and government representatives
Prepare formal technical reports of investigation results for internal and/or external customers to include government agencies
Qualification
Required
1+ years of experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and failure analysis
3+ years of experience testing hydraulic and/or mechanical control systems
1+ years of experience writing technical reports
1+ years of experience leading multiple projects at the same time
Must be able to travel 10% of the time
Preferred
1+ years of experience precision measurement equipment & GD&T
1+ years of experience working with customers in production, engineering departments, airline industry or governmental agencies
