Epic Beacon Analyst

Responsibilities
Partner with the Team Lead or Manager to research, plan, build, test, and implement approved Epic Beacon initiatives
Support timely delivery of solutions, proactively identifying risks and appropriately escalating issues
Perform data analysis using Epic and other technical tools to gather requirements, identify data discrepancies, and ensure accurate processing and reporting with minimal supervision
Develop system designs, functional specifications, and configuration strategies based on operational and clinical oncology needs
Analyze workflows and system capabilities to recommend effective, sustainable solutions
Translate operational workflows into Epic Beacon configuration aligned with organizational IT and clinical strategies
Perform unit, system, and integrated testing per established standards and document outcomes
Collaborate with application and technical teams to ensure implementations are executed effectively and applications are well supported
Follow defined standards and promote best-practice principles across the application lifecycle
Optimize, maintain, and support Epic Beacon and related systems post-implementation
Participate in change control processes and release management activities
Provide on-call support as required, troubleshooting and resolving production issues and initiating escalation procedures when needed
Build rapport and promote teamwork through professional communication, positive collaboration, and effective change management practices
Attend team and departmental meetings and contribute to shared goals and objectives
Meet project timelines and application deliverables, providing weekly status updates and completing time and project tracking as required
Perform other duties as assigned; in emergency situations, support activities necessary for patient care or operational continuity
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum of 3–5 years of Epic build experience as a certified Epic Analyst
Current certification in Epic Beacon
Prior Epic implementation experience required
Experience supporting clinical applications in inpatient and/or outpatient settings
Ability to start in the role quickly and support project timelines
Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent follow-through
Blend of technical, analytical, and customer-service expertise
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across clinical, technical, and leadership teams
High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and web-based tools
Experience documenting workflows and identifying opportunities for improvement
Epic Beacon Certification (Required)
Preferred
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
Experience in a multi-entity healthcare environment preferred
Previous experience mentoring or guiding team members preferred
