Responsibilities
Develop UI components with React and TypeScript that enable athena’s developers to create feature-rich, highly usable, and easily maintainable front-end applications efficiently
Support athena developers and designers through expertise with front-end technologies and a strong understanding of the Forge Design System
Document visual and architectural changes within the design system with clear instructions and informative examples
Use third-party dependencies and packages intentionally and monitor their utility over time
Design composable UI components and comprehensible APIs
Adhere to and maintain front-end development best practices and architectural standards
Qualification
Required
4+ years of experience as a professional software engineer
Strong proficiency with React, TypeScript, Webpack, and HTML/CSS
Experience with writing unit tests, documentation, and informative demos
Experience with server-side JavaScript, especially Node.js
Experience with planning, development, and delivery on an Agile team
Familiarity with git usage and CI/CD tools
Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and Drupal
Familiarity with collaborating alongside internal stakeholders
Good understanding of full-stack development, especially navigating front-end and back-end systems is desirable
Experience with development of platforms that support front-end stability, performance, and maintainability is desirable
