CAD Drafter
Rain for Rent is the leading provider of temporary liquid handling solutions, recognized for their systems engineering expertise and innovative equipment. As a CAD Drafter, you will design and produce computer-aided drawings for various applications, while also providing training and support to CAD Operators as directed.

Responsibilities
Produce drawings of filed plans, system layouts, agricultural details, or architectural details
Produce mechanical drawings of parts and subsystems in accordance with Company engineering policies, including material take-offs
Produce mechanical drawings of existing and proposed irrigation fittings
Produce mechanical drawings of maps, details drawing design and material take-offs in accordance with the specification of the customer
Draw finished designs from sketches
Utilize precise measuring equipment accurately
Perform quality control duties including checking parts and assemblies prior to receiving items in inventory and checking finished products
Document quality control failures according to Company procedures
Conduct research and perform calculations to complete designs and drawings for manufacturing parts and irrigation systems so assemblers may be bid, manufactured, purchased and inspected with absolute readability and accuracy
Maintain company drafting equipment in good repair
Provide technical support through the use of the telephone or mail
Act as liaison between supplier and Company in order to correct products that did not meet quality control guidelines including generating warranty claims
Assist with quality control checks by being fully conversant with WOSCO quality assurance procedures
Establish and maintain job file database and corresponding hard copy files
Generate and update drawings and specifications of components and assemblies used by the department
Assist in the establishment and maintenance of purchasing component file to include drawings, specifications and preferred vendors
Maintain Company equipment, including office equipment, computers and plotters in good condition
Qualification
