Responsibilities

Ensure vendor contracts are clearly defined, cost-effective, and aligned with organizational policies and strategic objectives
Develop RFQs and evaluate vendor proposals to ensure competitive bidding and alignment with SPP’s purchasing policy and supply chain strategy
Negotiate vendor contracts to achieve cost-effective, risk-mitigated, and value-added outcomes
Coordinate renewal activities for vendor products and services, ensuring continued access to the product or service, timely updates, and technical support
Support internal and external audits, maintain required documentation, and enforce purchasing policy compliance
Balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Required

Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience
A minimum of three (3) years of applicable experience in vendor sourcing-related roles
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, including executives, business owners/knowledge experts, and technical experts
Ability to solve problems of moderate complexity, that involve multiple departments and people
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships, both internal and external
Proficient financial, analytical, facilitation, and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail, including Accuracy and precision in task execution, Thorough review of documents and data, Consistency in work quality, Documentation and record-keeping accuracy, Follow-through to ensure completeness and correctness
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
Ability to interpret and maintain compliance with SPP Policies and Procedures
