Phaxis is seeking a Cost Accountant to manage and analyze cost-related financial activities. This role involves maintaining standard costs in the SAP system, monitoring material movements, performing reconciliations, and assisting in budgeting and closing processes.

Responsibilities

Maintain standard cost of materials in the SAP system according to the standard cost guideline

Responsible for the cycle counting process including creating and posting documents to ensure proper financial adjustments and coverage during the year

Monitor material movements errors and follow up on solutions

Perform ad hoc requests for work order settlements

Assist in reporting weekly work order variances and inventory reporting

Report and analyze direct labor efficiency

Distribute cost centers spending reports (Actual vs. Budget); support cost center responsible for detailed analysis

Perform monthly assigned balance sheet account reconciliation

Assist in the closing process

Assist in the budgeting process

Provide backup for treasury functions as needed

Prepare backup ad hoc reports as needed

Support and document process improvement projects and perform other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

1 to 3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

SAP experience required

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word, and Excel with the ability to create and maintain Excel workbooks

Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with the experience needed to credibly represent values and quality commitment

Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills

Ability to prioritize workload and use multi-tasking to accomplish goals

Must have a high level of moral and ethical codes

Ability to multitask and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
