Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement new healthcare data integrations to support clinical and operational workflows
Maintain, enhance, and support existing healthcare data integration solutions to ensure reliability and performance
Build and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines using Python and advanced SQL for large, multi-table datasets
Orchestrate and monitor complex data workflows using Apache Airflow and Astronomer
Lead and support migration of data workloads to Databricks, optimizing performance for large-scale analytics and processing
Leverage Docker and Kubernetes to containerize and deploy applications, ensuring high availability and scalability
Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver production-grade data solutions
Apply best practices in CI/CD, code quality, monitoring, and cloud cost optimization to support highly available systems
Ensure data integrations comply with healthcare data standards, security, and privacy requirements
Qualification
Required
Extensive hands-on experience working in an AWS cloud environment, including services such as S3, EC2, and IAM for data storage, compute, and access management
Strong experience designing and maintaining scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Python and SQL
Proven experience orchestrating workflows with Apache Airflow and Astronomer
Experience migrating and optimizing workloads on Databricks for distributed data processing and analytics
Practical knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and deliver reliable, production-ready data solutions
2+ years of experience as an Integration Engineer or similar role, working within cross-functional teams to automate data processes
1+ year of experience writing SQL or other database querying languages against large, complex, multi-table datasets
1+ year of experience working with healthcare or health-tech systems, such as Electronic Health Records (EHR), clinical data platforms, HL7, or FHIR standards
Preferred
Experience developing and enhancing database migration utilities using Alembic, ensuring smooth schema evolution with minimal downtime
