Responsibilities
Lead a team of engineers investigating and resolving in-service problems for Prime Air's drone delivery system
Operate as the voice of Prime Air's Commercial Operations to the greater Engineering community
Develop prototypes for Operational Support Equipment
Ensure a high degree of technical reliability within drone operations
Establish and maintain close relationships with drone maintainers and operators
Provide engineering analyses and solutions to improve the system use experience and uptime
Leverage data-driven insights to identify opportunities and lead implementation of system improvements
Serve as the first line liaison between operator/maintainer experiences and design engineering improvements or mitigations
Spearhead system improvements and address engineering problems discovered in the field
Translate complex system functions into digestible insights and summarize effectively with stakeholders
Qualification
Required
7+ years of engineering team management experience
Experience in DFx (cost, test, manufacturing)
Experience with the project management of technical projects
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent
5+ years of engineering experience in an aerospace or related technical field
Preferred
Knowledge of AWS or cloud technologies
Master's degree in Engineering, or a related field
Experience developing or providing engineering support for products with large production volume or fleet size
